“Creativity on Campus”
On Tuesday, September 25th, at 7 pm in Alumni Hall, there will be a presentation of several different ways of pursuing writing on the VU campus. Prof. Swanson (Biology/Core) will discuss the first two papers assigned in Core: how these assignments differ from each other, what to think about in the process of revision. Prof. Schuette-Hoffman (English) will explain the option students have to professionally and academically pursue writing. Vickie Chambers will put a face to the Writing Center and also explain the benefits the Writing Center can offer, especially in the composition and compilation of the Core portfolio. And lastly Evan Bryson of The Lighter will explain how students can publish their work in a student publication.
This event is approved for Core 5th-hour credit.
