“Where Do I Put the Bookmark?: Reading Garden State As Text”

Why are there three films on the Core syllabus? How can we “read” a film and write papers about it? In this presentation, we will discuss some basic film terminology and examine some still shots from Garden State to figure out what this movie might mean as a “text.”
