The Vagina Monologues
There is a special event coming up this weekend that is VERY relevant to the Love Unit of CORE. The VU Women’s Conference is putting on its annual production of The Vagina Monologues.
A terrific cast of VU female students perform these monologues which are alternately witty, sad, poignant, bawdy, and hilarious. Along the way a lot of important information is conveyed about female sexuality.
These performances are NOT for the faint-hearted. The language is direct and uncompromising because the point of the show is to give voice to words and ideas that women have not been allowed to talk about.
Tickets are available at the Union Information Desk. Performances are at 7 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, February 8 and 9. A shorter performance followed by a talk-back discussion is Sunday at 2:00 p.m. All performances take place in Neils Science Center, room 234.
