We’re on the cusp of the VU poets’ Wordfest reading–it’s tonight!  Don’t forget to come out for some word and image!

Come see and hear Profs. John Ruff, Ed Byrne, Kathleen Mullen, Catherine Tufariello, and Allison Schuette-Hoffman read from their work!

The Miller Lecture is an endowed lecture in “practical Christianity.”  This year’s speaker, Fr. Edward Oakes, S.J., is the Chester & Margaret Paluch Professor of Theology at the University of St. Mary of the Lake and Mundelein Seminary, the Catholic seminary for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Professor Burnette, VU ‘89, Economics & French, received her Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1994 and is the author of Gender, Work, and Wages in Industrial Revolution Britain published by Cambridge University Press in 2008. She has also published widely, including articles in Economic History Review and Journal of Economic History.
