The Valpo Core

The V.U. student chapter of the American Guild of Organists is sponsoring a hymnsing on Monday evening, February 9th from 7:30pm – 8:30pm in the upstairs gallery of the chapel (around the organ console). It is a part of the A.G.O.’s official “International Year of the Organ” celebration, and the theme we have chosen for our hymnsing is “Hymns Through History.” Come to enjoy singing many hymn favorites as well as hearing mini lectures before each hymn that will help us understand the hymn’s historical and musical context and significance. A program sure to enrich your appreciation for this dearly-loved musical tradition!
