Diwali–Indian Festival of Lights

Asian American Association is having an event to celebrate Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. This is a festival celebrated throughout Southern Asia in many different ways. Diwali is going to be celebrated at Valpo on Saturday, October 3rd at 6pm in the Union Ballroom. There will be traditional dances, Bollywood dances, a violinist, and of course an authentic Indian dinner from an Indian restaraunt. Everyone is welcome: students, professors, faculty and community members. It is only $2 for students and $5 for non-students. Tickets can be bought at the Union. Make sure to buy your tickets in advance because we are planning on selling out. Asian American Association is looking forward to seeing you at the event, and please pass this information along! This is going to be a great way for all of the campus community to dance, eat, and celebrate diversity.
