Guy Fawkes Day

Guy Fawkes Day is a national holiday in The United Kingdom that commemorates the foiling of a plot to blow up the houses of Parliament in London. On the 5th of November at 4 pm in the Tiered Classroom in the Library (CCLIR 205), the Global Leaders Community will be hosting a celebration of Guy Fawkes day. There will be served biscuits and afternoon tea: English tea, Chinese tea, and Turkish tea. We’ll have a 30 minute presentation about the history of Guy Fawkes day and then 15 minutes for questions.

“Living In A Foreign Country”

The GLC (Global Leaders Community) will be putting on a program on Sunday entitled, “Living in a Foreign Country.” The presentation will focus on the experience of applying and planning to leave, current experiences of international students, and reflecting on traveling by students after they have returned.  The presentation will be on Sunday at 6:30 pm in Brandt Hall’s Classroom.
