It has been a while since I have posted a blog. There have been some changes around the football offices and the blogs were put on the back burner. Continue to watch for new postings as the blogs will be be back on a regular basis. You can also follow Crusader Football on Twitter and Facebook.
Patti Nemeth, our long time Administrative Assistant, resigned from her position in April. Cindy Christ joined our staff as our new Administrative Assistant in May. Cindy was working at the Family Express corporate offices in Valparaiso.
Assistant Head Coach/ Offensive Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Bob Muckian left our staff this summer. Coach Muckian is getting married this month. His bride to be is employed at Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. They decided Coach Muckian would relocated to the east coast and he found a job at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. We wish Bob and Sara all the best as they start their new lives together.
Coach Mike Gravier joined our staff as Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator. Coach Alex Bailey has been promoted to Recruiting Coordinator/Pass Game Coordinator. We will have a few more additions to the staff that will be announced when the formal hiring process is completed.
Coach Teegardin has done a great job getting our team out in the community. Go to the football web page and read about the different community service projects our team participated in this past spring.
The staff has been busy since spring practice recruiting. The month of May was spent doing junior evaluations. During June our staff worked camps at Northwestern, Illinois, Ball State, Purdue, Ohio State, Toledo, Bowling Green, and Northern Illinois. We hosted our One Day Camp in June and had a great group of campers. We don’t do combine drills at our camp. We spend the time teaching football and evaluating the players attending the camp.
In case you missed the announcement of our recruits you can see it here with their high school video.
Training camp begins August 4th with the first practice August 5th. Our staff is excited about the effort our current players have put in. We are looking forward to adding the new recruits to the team.
Remember, it’s a great day to be a Crusader!
