ValpoScholar, the Christopher Center and Law Library’s publishing and archiving service, recently had its 100,000th download. Launched on March 4, 2011, ValpoScholar has showcased various documents and publications of Valpo’s, including the Valparaiso University Law Review, Valparaiso Fiction Review, and the Valpo Core Reader. Several of Valpo’s faculty members and students have also seen a high number of downloads for their scholarship, including former law student Shannon Noder, who has seen her article “Talking and Texting While Driving: A Look at Regulating Cell Phone Use Behind the Wheel” downloaded nearly 4000 times in the past year. The site has also had visitors from over 110 countries in its first year of operation.
