Beginning this Thursday, January 10, university faculty will review the latest books by J.K. Rowling, Junot Diaz, Kevin Powers, Callum Roberts, Louise Erdrich, Richard Russo, Amanda Bennett, and Ian McEwan. Sponsored by Valpo’s Department of English, 2013 marks the 40thyear for Books and Coffee and a new review will be held each Thursday, through the end of February.
This year’s first review will be The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling, reviewed by Randa Duvick, Professor of Foreign Languages and Literatures at 4 PM in the Christopher Center’s Community Room. All Books and Coffee reviews are free and open to the public on Thursdays in January and February.
