Hi, my name is Jodie Buchanan and I am currently a junior at Valparaiso University majoring in Social Work and International Service. I am originally from Chicago, IL and have traveled a little bit abroad, but I am so excited about my semester in Southern Africa. Most of my time I will be in Windhoek, Namibia in a house that is run by Augsburg College’s Center for Global Education. The program that I am in is entitled, “Nation-Building, Globalization, and Decolonizing the Mind.” I know it will be a great experience that will push me to new levels and I can’t wait to update you on everything.
