Many of the Valpo EWB team longed to see Mt. Kilimanjaro as the area we are in occupies the foothills of the legendary peak. This is the rainy season in Tanzania, so it was not entirely certain that we would be able to see the mountain at all. However, early Thursday morning, our wishes were granted. I woke up at around 5AM and noticed that the clouds were gone and stars had appeared in the sky. Realizing that the clouds might be gone, I struck out camera in hand to try to capture an image to share. I wasn’t disappointed! Mt. Kilimanjaro remained clearly visible until 9:00AM until the clouds once again masked the beauty of the mountain. The Valpo EWB team was fortunate enough to eat breakfast with the mountain in sight and were inspired by its beauty. The sighting set the tone for the day and many were still talking in the evening about how beautiful Mt. Kilimanjaro truly is. For those of you who love the mountains, this one can’t be missed…

Beautiful!
Wow! Thank you for sharing these stunning pictures. One of these days I hope to see Mt. Kilimanjaro. It’s on my Bucket List.
Please pass this comment on to Michael H. if you see it. They were going to deliver your steel on Monday but there is a problem. It was just discovered that the holes for P8 were fabricated at 15/16” diameter versus the 11/16” diameter called out. Will this be acceptable? If it is OK, I’ll have them deliver. GSD
Thanks. H said he will deal with this when he get’s back.
Wow, these look more like paintings than photos! Stunning.
What a wonderful view to wake up to in the morning! So glad the clouds cleared away for a while!
Photographs are beautiful. Are some of the panoramic photos stitched together?
