Prof. He presented a talk (co-authored by Chunhui Liu) “Coordination Effect of Metal Centers in Electrochemical CO2 Reduction: A First-Principles Mechanistic Study”;

John Shen presented a poster (co-authored by Haiying He, Turbasu Sengupta, Dinesh Bista, Arthur C Reber, Ravindra Pandey, Shiv N Khanna) “Computational Study of Electronic Structure and Transport Properties of PAl₁₂-Based Nanocluster Complexes”.

John Shen’s paper “Electron transport properties of PAl12-based cluster complexes” is in print! The work is selected on the cover of Nanoscale Advances.

Prof. Haiying He gave a talk at the American Physical Society (APS) March Meeting, March 5–9, 2018; Los Angeles, California.

Christopher Morrissey received an award from the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program sponsored by the Department of Energy (DOE). He will start a research internship at Argonne National Laboratory in mid-January.

Christopher Morrissey and Marcus Ochsendorf presented their summer research work at the Fall Interdisciplinary Research Symposium (FIReS) on campus on Oct. 27, 2017.

Yesukhei Jagvaral started summer research at Michigan Technological University. He is working on the interaction of water with 2D materials.

Christopher Morrissey and Marcus Ochsendorf started summer research together with Prof. He under the Visiting Faculty Program at Argonne National Laboratory. They are working on the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide.
