The 2023 Great Lakes Meteorology Conference was hosted on April 22nd, 2023 in the Harre Union Ballrooms. A variety of speakers gave students a diverse view of opportunities in the atmospheric sciences, with talks from professors, environmental scientists, operational meteorologists, and many more! The theme for this year was “Exploring Earth” in celebration of Earth Day!

For GLMC 2023, our list of speakers included:

  • Brett Edwards (MISO Senior Analyst for Meteorological Risk)
  • Will McCarty (Program Scientist at NASA)
  • Craig Clark (Professor of Meteorology at Valparaiso University)
  • Alexander Kotsakis (Assistant Research Scientist at ERT, Inc./NASA Goddard Space Flight Center)
  • Bart Adrian (Senior Lecturer in Atmospheric Science and Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee)
  • Ellen Bacca (Chief Meteorologist at WOODTV)
  • Aeriel Rozwara (Facility Environmental Coordinator at NIPSCO)
