In the fall AMS/NWA brings in a speaker to speak to meteorology students. We have someone distinguished in the field of meteorology come and speak to the student body and faculty. This is not only an educational experience for students, but also allows them to make professional contacts.

Every other year, representatives from surrounding National Weather Service offices visit universities in Indiana. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this Roadshow was delayed but made a return Fall of 2021. Prior to the Roadshow, students could have their resumes reviewed by these NWS representatives. During the Roadshow, each representative presents a specific topic whether it is about applying to government jobs, what it’s like to work at the office, interview tips, etc.
