Law enforcement leaders

We celebrate the African American Brothers and Sisters who

sacrifice their lives so that we all may live without fear.

Thank you for your contributions and Leadership in our

community.

Ella Brown

In 1943, she became Connecticut’s first African American policewoman when she joined the Hartford Police Department.

The Rochester Police Department recently added another tool to its arsenal to help engage the Rochester community when RPD Chief James Sheppard announced the creation of the Rochester Police Foundation, an independent, nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated to fostering public safety, excellence in law enforcement, and a positive relationship between RPD and the community it serves.

We celebrate the best and most positive leaders in this important area of service!!
